Materials On Tour is a new AU Materials event series where we visit departments across Aarhus University to learn more about the people, research environments, laboratories and equipment connected to materials research.

The first visit takes us to the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering, where we will get an introduction to MPE and its research areas, hear short presentations of current research activities, and visit the Materials & Manufacturing Laboratories.

The idea behind the series is to make it easier to become familiar with departments beyond your own, including where they are located, what kind of research is carried out there, and which laboratories, instruments and expertise are available.

Due to the limited size of the laboratories, participation is limited to 30 to 40 people.

Who can join?

The event is primarily for AU Materials members, including PIs, PhD students, postdocs and other interested group members. Researchers outside AU Materials who are interested in materials related research and collaboration opportunities across departments are also welcome.
